India to Be a Hub of More Than 11,500 Startups By 2020
Startup fever is on the rise in India and Modi government is supporting the growth in every possible way. By 2020, the nation would a hub 11,500 startups as per industry trackers. The startup space is also expected to see an investment of a whopping Rs. 15,600 Cr or $ 2.25 bn, reports ET.
“India needs several folds increase in mechanism such as incubation & acceleration that can assimilate entrepreneurs to make them globally successful,”said Executive Director, Indian Steps & Business Incubators Association, Raghunandan Rajamani.
Considering the rapid growth and success of an array of startups in the country, and to encourage the incubation ecosystem and specific areas of growth, Incubation India 2015 was held on December 2 in New Delhi. The conference brought together many business labs, investors and incubator startups.
The conference was attended by many industry trackers to gain knowledge on how the space is growing and about the initiatives taken to boost technology and business incubation in the nation. Read More…
